One of the major problems of farmers is access to manure. The introduction of PROACT project supported farmers in procuring the best chemical fertilizers which improved their production. As the project was coming to a close, the implementing team deemed it fit to train the farmers on composting which is a great alternative, easier to make and more natural, using leftover natural resources and animal dropping. In the first year of application, the farmers could see great performance in their crops. They have become source of attraction to other farmers who are not in the project as they spend less on fertilizer and still harvest more than those using chemical fertilizers. With this, farming is more fun to invest in.
